Description: ANTIQUE Vintage BLACKSMITH Wrought Iron LOOM LIGHT Spiral Candle Holder #1 These are not true antiques (to the best of our knowledge). We were told when we purchased these that they were made by the same hand and the person was a true artisan and blacksmith. We bought two of these loom lights over 45 years ago as we loved the way they were made, the design and form, and the fact that we could not afford the very early examples we saw as we were just starting out collecting early iron accessories, tools, hearthware, utensils and lighting. We have a very large collection of all of the above and have started to downsize and sell off some of our iron items. It measures approx 13.5" long from top of hanger to bottom of candle cup/holder. it has a wonderfully designed twisted spiral handle and a great rat -tail hook for hanging at the hearth or on your wall or cupboard. It also has a rolled top edge to the candle holder/cup. At its widest it is approx 3.25" wide from handle to outer edge of candle cup. It has a nice heaviness to the item- it is not like the other more contemporary ones you find which are very light-weight. We are listing both of these loom lights (separately) that are most likely from the 1930s or later- we have no provenance or info. We are listing each one separately. If you are interested in both they could be combined for discounted shipping purposes. It may be nice to keep them together as they were made from the same hand.
