Description: Beautiful fanciful silk coat, a young child's Sunday best, circa 1910 to 1920. The coat is made what feels like wool but I cannot be sure. Featuring smocking up the front and back, and mother of pearl buttons. The coat is lined and has a small labelel with some numbers on it. No size indicated, but appears to be a size for a toddler. Measures 20" long shoulder to hem, and armpit to armpit 14". Condition is age-appropriate. There is a small thread-worn patch and a spot (see photo 5) and there is age-related browning on the edges of inside of the filded up sleeves. This garment is sold as a collectible piece, or to fit perhaps large antique doll, rather than for a child to wear. Will ship within 1 business day.
