Description: Up for sale is a Dutch1780 to 1800's black glass utilitarian type bottle, likely used for rum, wine or whiskey. It is pipe pontiled with open scar on the bottom, not a bubble burst, but maybe a tool bumped the hot glass during making. It has a nice undamaged string lip with no lip chips at all.The opening has been conditioned during manufacture to accept a cork to seal it.(AKA smoothed out). The color is the black, deep olive green glass. The bottle has no chips, dings, cracks.Very nice shiny appearance with several light, small scatches.9-3/4" overall height, with a 4" wide body X 3-1/2" long neck X 6-1/4" body.Rather heavily made crude bottle that weighs over 2 lbs.Very nice addition to any antique bottle collectors collection. Thanks for looking, hit the buy it now to make it yours.
