Description: For sale is a cup and saucer made by one of the Paris area makers around the late 18th or early 19th century . It is hand painted with a neat pattern very reminiscent of the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period but was made about 100 years earlier :) It is a tulip and leaf design on a yellow ground color with some nice tooled gilding to the rim. This set is in perfect condition. The saucer is marked with an incised script L and the cup has an incised X underneath. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter.
