Description: Highest quality French fire gilded bronze clock case (minor gilding loss seen in photos) contains a solid brass plate 14-day wind two train silk suspension skeletonized movement visible behind the spaces between the chariot wheel spokes (movement recently serviced); 3 ¾” porcelain chapter ring contains neo-classical Roman numerals in perfect condition, sets behind a hinged bronze framed door containing a clear delicately beveled viewing glass; the rear side of the clock case contains a hinged door in the shape of the chariot’s spoked wheel; a FAST/SLOW adjustment knob is located alongside the pendulum area pivot point; both front & rear doors fit snugly into the case; the cast nickel bell resonates beautifully within the bronze clock cavity; both movement & bell assemblies are mounted securely to case. Masterfully made high quality Empire Style fire gilded bronze clock with heavily detailed chariot, horses, harnesses, quivers holding a supply of arrows, 4-claw feet, & even the horseshoes are evident in this magnificent display mounted to a green marble base. Chiming correctly (skips occasionally at 11 o'clock) & running on time. DIMENSIONS: height 17 ½” x width 15” x depth 5 ½” I am an antique clock collector wishing to reduce my clock collection. I am NOT a retailer. This clock comes from my collection & has been running successfully for several years with no difficulties. It has been tested prior to this offering. Clock set-up to establish the correct “beat” is paramount to the clock’s operation, accomplished through placement & leveling (sometimes with rotating the movement while in the clock case). Additionally, temperature & humidity may affect it over time as well. Do not over wind a clock. Lastly, I cannot not guarantee the clock’s operation once shipped. I do take pride as a seller and buyer of these clocks. All shipments will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap (key & pendulum wrapped separately) set tightly into box containing Styrofoam peanuts, tapped shut & then placed into second box (as may be necessary) also filled with padding for added protection, taped shut on all sides. Please ask any questions regarding this item; responses will be made as quickly as possible. No international shipping and No refunds.
