Description: Not my usual fare but I bought a cool collection of textile objects recently and it included this flame stitch purse. Of course I am aware of flame stitch but its usually too expensive for me to buy for resell. This is a later version, mid 1800s. Its rough condition but features some really bold colors. Cool example. Unsure of its origin but it was found in Pennsylvania years ago. 8 and 3/4 inches from bottom of the tassels to the top of the loop. Condition: Rough condition but still worthy of having. Some bare spots. Looks like some of the beaded tassels are missing. Some tears especially to the back. Silk back is half gone or more. Bold colors though. No repairs. The beaded loop at the top is complete but folded over for most of the photos. See photos and video for condition.
