Description: This antique mid Qing Dynasty Chinese all hand carved wooden floral corner piece is a great architectural piece that was taken from a piece of 200 year old furniture similar to the bed shown in the last picture. During the Qing Dynasty the affluent upper class could afford to have elaborately carved furniture. During the cultural revolution the red guard destroyed much of these pieces of furniture along with their elaborate carvings. Fortunately some were saved and stored for over 70 years until they were again discovered and made available for a short time. They are no longer allowed to export these old carvings from China as it tries to hold on to its old heritage. I purchased over 3,000 such carvings ten years ago and am now selling them on sailerking. This is your chance to own a piece of China's artistic history. This floral antique Chinese carving was probably a corner piece of some architectural element. it measures 14" long by 4" tall by 3/4" thick (36 x 10 x 3.5 cm) .
