Description: Hello and thanks for checking out my sale. Here is a beautiful art nouveau lamp with a Rembrandt style shade. I’m Saying Rembrandt style because I can’t find a makers mark anywhere on the shade. The total height of the lamp, including the finial is 28 inches. The urn lamp base was made in Paris France probably around 1925. It’s hard to tell because they also had an exposition in 1850 and it could’ve been for that. The pin button in the photos denotes a part of town where these expositions were held and craftsman worked. The shade is 5 1/4“ x 8“ x 18“. It is not damaged anywhere & the colors are vibrant. The shade adds a nice touch to the base. The base is metal with a washed bronze finish. The motif is lion and lioness with snake tail in their mouth. The urn also has flowers on all four corners. The snake heads serve as the handles for the urn. The lioness side has some slight bronze finish loss. It has a custom wooden base and cap which have a beautiful finish. It’s been newly wired with invisible cord that is quite long and a vintage plug. The on-off switch is the paddle type so it only has one setting. I only put 15 to 25 W bulbs in this type of lamp/shade. Low light always looks best and sets the mood with them. It also has a heavy solid brass finial. Please see photos as they are part of the description and ask questions if needed. Please make sure you zoom in and out so you know the truth condition of this lamp, which in my opinion is pretty spectacular. Thanks for checking it out and happy days to you and yours!
