Description: This silver sceat coin was commissioned by the Anglo-Saxon ruler “Eadberht”, who was king of Northumbria. It was produced by the Eoferwik (York) mint, and circulated from 737-758 AD. It features a mythical heraldic beast (historically referred to as the “fantastic animal”) above the famous Viking “triquetra” symbol. Versions containing a triquetra at the bottom were only scarcely produced. ------ This high-density graphite mold is made of 99.9% pure graphite and produces coins that are approximately 47mm in diameter with a thickness of up to 6mm if filled to the top. ***METAL COINS IN IMAGES ARE FOR DEPICTION ONLY AND ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH PURCHASE***
