Description: Amphora Turn-Teplitz Austria Espaniola Nouveau Art Pottery Pierced Vase c. 1910 Click images to enlarge Description I just purchased this antique Amphora Works / Amphora Porcelain Factory vase from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece was produced by the Turn-Teplitz / Austria company as part of their "Espaniola" line of Art Nouveau inspired earthenware. The piece has a striking form with pierced panels and embossed beads / dots accenting the paneled body. The hand painted design features a stylized floral / foliage and geometric design on the cream and rose marbleized ground. The vase measures 7 ¼" high, 4 ½" wide at the shoulder and 4" deep. The base is hand signed "Espaniola" and double stamped with Amphora's "AUSTRIA" oval mark. The piece is in very good condition with the only issue being a shallow pinhead glaze flake on the base edge and some faint, fine crazing. This Espaniola vase would make a fun addition to your collection of c. 1910 - 1920 Amphora / Austrian art pottery.
