Description: Vintage 5 Piece Rare Franciscan China Arcadia Maroon, Mint Shape Never Used, Gold Accent. This set of 5 have never been used and are in mint shape. Included are a 10 5/8” Dinner Plate, a 8 3/8” Salad Plate, a 6 3/8”Bread and Butter Plate, a 6” saucer, and a 2 1/4” Footed Cup. Unbelievable that these were produced from 1941-1952. They look like they just came out of the box. No chips, cracks, scratches, crazing, or utensil marks. Gorgeous pieces! These were made in the USA and the pattern is Arcadia Maroon which includes gold and maroon flourishes (plumes) and have gold around the outer rims and center rims. The gold is completely intact. The pattern was released as a Masterpiece China run and was retired in 1952. I found the same 5 piece set sold in 2007 for $75.00 and they weren’t in this condition so I’m starting the auction at that price.
