Description: This is a lovely antique set of 4 porcelain dessert plates made in Limoges France by Theodore Haviland. They are about 7 & 1/4 inches in diameter and weigh about 8 ounces each. The decorator backstamp in red on top of the glaze is Theodore Haviland, Limoges France, with Theodore underlined, which was used starting in 1903. Also TH is impressed into the porcelain in 3 of the 4 plates. The plates are smooth edged, and the decoration is sprigs of purple flowers with greenery and shadows in gray of leaves in the background. The plates are are in excellent antique shape and I see no chips, cracks, stains or crazing, except for one very small chip in the glaze on the back of one plate, that can be seen in the last picture. There are a few faint utensil marks in the glaze and a small pock mark in the glaze in places that can be seen when looking at an angle to the light, one can be seen in the next to last picture. There is not much fading on the floral design. Please zoom in on the pictures and see the 360 degree view for a closer look. I pack with lots of bubble wrap for safe shipping and ship out quickly, sometimes same day, always by next business day, and sometimes on Saturdays if I can make it to the post office before they close at noon.
