Description: The one is designed to hold a votive, but i find it cute that the other bird can sit there. I cannot decipher the signature on the single bird (maybe Lora?), but the bird with the extended base is signed Leo Ward 1992. They had so many mail orders of these adorable birds, that they had to hire other artists to help them keep up. On that note... you'll notice the beautiful little fountain of suspended bubbles in that blue bird, and it makes me wonder what amazing things this young artist might have accomplished after (maybe before) helping out Leo.
