Description: This listing is for a lot of 19th Century Ornate Gilt Antique Trim featuring a Caduceus motif throughout. This rare pattern of Rare Crown Molding was salvaged from an opulent antique home (obviously haha), which was somewhere in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania PA area. Beyond that, I unfortunately do not know the provenance. Personally to me it looks like something that the Hershey or Carnegie mansion would’ve had. Included in the lot is approximately 29.5 total Ft of the moulding, in 8 sections of various lengths. These could be joined together to cover one length of accent wall, or used in a small room sparingly. They would also be excellent for use for making frames for artwork, and a variety of other crafty / artistic purposes. It is not marked by a maker or model / pattern number i have tried to image match and come up empty handed and personally have never seen a pattern like this before, so I believe it have have been from a custom mould. The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely won’t have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. The lot is generally is in good condition, with no major damage. There are some very minor areas of loss, mainly on the edges, but for the most part, even around a majority of nail holes, there is little to no damage. It was obviously removed with great care. Some slight bending from age, as happens, and stainage on the back that does not come out in the gilt front. Thank you for your consideration, I appreciate your time. Reasonable offers always appreciated. Comes as shown, please see photos for details and measurements. Comes insured in shipment, packed with care.
