Description: 1969 Vintage Frankoma 234 Footed Bowl in Desert Gold - Pottery, Americana, Planter, Floral. Frankoma was the brainchild of John Frank, a graduate of the Chicago School of Art, who was invited in 1927 to come to the University of Oklahoma and establish a ceramics program. In 1933, he launched Frank Potteries, Oklahoma's first commercial pottery enterprise, which he renamed Frankoma (his surname + the last 3 letters of Oklahoma) Pottery in 1934. This is a vintage item and as such has been used and may show signs of use/wear. I personally find the piece to be flawless other than some residue along the inside rim from when it was likely previously used as a planter. I have had success on my own pieces with giving a vinegar soak to remove this type of residue, but am leaving this up to the future owner of the piece to decide what they want to do with it. Pictures have been taken of all angles so please review closely for any flaws you may find displeasing before making your purchase. I have included a picture of the piece from the 1969 Frankoma catalog. The page states "Appropriate Containers for Beautiful Flower Arrangements" - Do with that what you will :-) Measures approximately 7 & 1/2 inches at longest (6 & 1/2 inches at longest for the just the opening), 4 & 3/4 inches at widest of opening, and 3 & 1/2 inches at its deepest. Please note that for both ecological and economical purposes I recycle and reuse packaging whenever possible so your item may arrive in a recycled/reused box, etc.
