Description: This snappy dress is an early Sue Leslie made in the early 60's. I remember seeing something like this on the TV show "The Roaring 20's" in which most of the wardrobe was fringed instead of beaded. In the 60's they were called Go Go Dresses. Either way, the style on this is very alluring with it's drop waist and layered fringed bottom. It has a long metal zipper in the back and is lined in a rose gold fabric that almost feels like silk, but more like a silk rayon. The top of the dress is a sheer black over the rose gold lining giving it a shadow effect and the black fabric is dotted with little dotted oval that sparkle with silver flecks on the black patterns. These are both front and back. There are two tags inside. One is the designer label, Sue Leslie of California and the other is a label with an order number and lines for size, style and remarks. The order number is 4486 for those that like detail. The bottom skirt is layered in 6 rows of black fringe, 4 inches long. This is all over a crepe material.There is one spot on the front where some of the fringe is missing and on the back, one of the bottom rows of fringe needs to be attached back on the crepe. Otherwise, I would say this dress is in very good condition and wearable. Measurements are: Bust - 34 inches. Waist - 28 inches. Hips - 34 inches. Body length - 35 inches and that is to the bottom of the fringe. Perfect for Halloween costuming! Just add a boa and headpiece.
