Description: 1951 The Packard Sports Library No. 2 - The Heavyweight Division by Harry Grayson - Softcover (5" x 7") - 16 pages (with many great black & white photos of the greatest heavyweights of all time from 1892 through 1951) - Very good condition. These SCARCE 16-page booklets were promotional items given away by Packard Dealers in the early 1950s. The subjects of these booklets ran the gamut from the major sports to swimming, boating, bowling, track & field and many others. At least 30 different booklets are known to exist. This particular booklet focuses on boxing, specifically the Heavyweight Division. In addition to the text covering many of the Heavyweight boxing greats, there are many photos, and a list of every Heavyweight Championship fight from 1982 through 1951. There is some minor edge wear, including a tiny piece off the bottom corner, and some light toning (see the scan), but this booklet is still in very nice condition. No collection of boxing memorabilia is complete without this wonderful item. Check out the scan for the cover and so you can judge the condition for yourself (unlike many other sellers, who post generic scans, the item in my scan is the one you will get).
