Description: DESCRIPTION: Original vintage photograph, January 31,1941, shows "Elizabeth Tucker, Winthrop, Mass", 1940 census records show a woman named Elizabeth Tucker living at 393 Pleasant Street in Winthrop, and she would have been about 23 or 24 at the time this photo was taken, not sure of the location, I don't think there are any ski resorts in Winthrop, so this could have been taken in Maine or Massachusetts. Identification of photos is taken from captions in a photo album, writing on the back, or from similar photos in the collection.Richard Bowers Oliver was a news photographer, born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, May 19, 1913. He moved to Auburn Maine and resided at 25 Hampshire Street. He worked for the Lewiston Journal Newspaper but appears to have done a lot of freelance work as a news photographer.
