Description: Rare/Hard to find vintage hatchet - Tomahawk Axe "The Sportsman Axe" - Made by Standard Products Company in Clinton Massachusetts USA These hatchets were only manufactured between 1935 & 1937. This hatchet was created for the Boy Scouts and outdoorsman. The hatchet began to be advertised nationally in the summer of 1935 in Boys Life Magazine. Condition: This is a pre-owned/used vintage item. The black plastic (bakelite) grips on the handle are missing and the tepee logo is worn. Typical nicks and surface oxidation from age and use.
