Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Souvenir "Penny" issued for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition at San Francisco, as well as the Panama-California Expo at San Diego. Sold or given away at both California events, as a "two-fer" opportunity. 39mm struck in Brassy-Bronze, rather than pure Copper. A well wrought image of a Native American in a plains chief's warbonnet. Not terribly accurate to the location, however one of the best engraved images used on similar material. The idea likely copied from Frasier's Buffalo Nickel issued just two years prior. EF/AU with some light tarnish/toning, no damage. Hard to find nice; basically next to impossible as a Choice Unc in my experience, as the material used worked against the likelihood of high grade survival. 0529-60 Please Note: We require payment within four days of purchase, unless you contact us for other arrangements in advance of purchase.
