It is a scrapbook of articles and press cuttings on Peterhead in Aberdeenshire dated around 1910. It is in three sections. Firstly, fifteen pages of newspaper cuttings of articles on Peterhead and AberdeenshireSecondly, A History of Peterhead from prehistoric times of Remote Antiquity to AD 1896 by James Thomas Findlay. The book was serialised in a publication and an avid reader has cut out all of the issues and pasted it here, two columns to a page. It was never published as a book. In 1933, the author's daughter revised her father's work and issued it a book. This collection of newspaper cuttings is one of only two existing copies of this work of 1897. The other copy is held by Aberdeen Library. Bound in half red leather on red hardboards. Gilt bands and lettering to the spine. Some tears to the corners. A few small tears to the leather.
