Description: Here's a unique antique horse racing item featuring the legendary Standardbred harness racing horse Dan Patch. This is a program/postcard from 1910 at the Muskogee, Oklahoma Fair that included Dan Patch Day on October 10. The great racehorse, who was the pacing equivalent to Secretariat or Man o' War, was no longer racing in 1910 but he did make an appearance and paraded at the track before a huge crowd that reportedly gave him a standing ovation that lasted for several minutes. He was truly one of the biggest sports stars of the early 1900s. This has some signs of wear as would expected from something that is 112 years old and was actually mailed, but it's still holding up very well and just has some minor creasing on the front flap that folds over.
