Description: 1886 Ladies GAR FCL MEDAL W GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC INSIGNIA Click Photos to Enlarge       Description Description - A Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic Medal.  The medal features an FCL embossed pin mount, horizontal flag, and 5 Point GAR Star Logo. The late 19th Century bronze medal features a 5 Point Star Medal depicting a soldier and sailor shaking hands with a kneeling mother and child under the watchful eye of Columbia. The medal is suspended from the pin mount by a horizontal flag. The pin mount is embossed FCL.  Age - ca 1886  Size - 3 3/4' long  Condition - The green backing behind the flag detached.
