Because these are natural chert / flint rocks, they are highly variable. But each chert / flint rock is typically 3" to 6" long and weighs from 1 pound to 4 pounds. Each package will typically have 6 to 8 chert / flint stones. These chert / flint rocks have not been heat treated or processed in any way. Because this is a natural product, these stones may contain some cracks, fissures, inclusions or fractures. Chert and Jasper are the general names for several types of stone that are extremely hard and fracture into pieces with sharp edges. Flint is usually chert that is grey.
